Restorides was formed in 2004 by Jon Van Dyke & Steve Kelly.
Jon has been a certified gear head since 1978. He started out
by turning wrenches in the drag-racing pits for his brother. Later
doing the same on his own tire shredders. Jon had spent years
in collision & repair while doing muscle restoration on the side.
Steve started with his own first
car, a 56 Chevy. Ever since, he's
always had a 56-57 project to
work on. Steve, like Jon, has
been doing collision & repair for
decades while doing restorations
on the side. Eventually the two
met up and Restorides was born.
The work performed in spare time
restoring classics had already
established a reputation for the
two.
Within the second month,
Restorides was already needing a bigger building.
